Description: This position is in the ITS Technical Services Area. The Primary Responsibility of this position will be to do Technical Management and Administration of the databases that house the Systemware Repositories, which is the PNC Online Archival, Retention and Viewing system for historical records including Reports and Statements.

Position Overview:

A. Be the lead technician responsible for managing the Systemware system: message files, browse files, vsam datasets, etc to ensure that the product is being run to provide efficient performance.
·Be an expert in Online Archival tools for PNC
·Management and recommendation of storage level and storage media
·Building and management of all message, browse, and work queue files·

B. Participate in the Mercantile Bank conversion of historical data to PNCs Online Archive as needed.
·Run Conversion Utilities
·Manage system parameters relative to the growth for Mercantile
·Support special loading of MIS files via Utilities

C. Support current and future Disaster Recovery strategies for the Systemware Archive Repository.
·Participate in Planning Meetings
·Support the Subsystem Recovery process for Systemware
·Support MIS during this process as needed

D. May need to do some support of other historical repositories such as Mobius and TIMS.

E. Support the MIS and User Communities regarding performance and usage of the Online Archival in terms of Problems and Requests.

F. Works on various projects related to Advancement of the Online Archival.

G. Responsible for the 24x7 operation of the Online Archival terms of support and problem determination. May require some weekend work to perform and validate changes and upgrades.
