Description: Position Background:

To provide team leadership and advanced level development for the design, creation, and support of web applications.

Major Responsibilities:

· Interact directly with Project Managers, and potentially the customer or end-user, in order to understand and help draft the project specifications and documentation required.

· Design and implement software plans according to established design patterns and best practices.

· Work with other programmers as a mentor and team lead to ensure project requirements compliance and aid in team career development.

· Participate in project code reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and general programming best practices.





Minimum Qualifications

· BS in Computer Science or related field.

· 5-7 years experience including SDLC

· Strong object-oriented application development and design experience

· Extensive knowledge of J2EE design patterns

· Languages: JAVA, MVC/STRUTS, J2EE, JSP, JSTL

· Databases: SQL Server, MySQL

· Web Development Skills: Tomcat, IIS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

· Operating Systems: Linux, Windows



Special Skills (a plus, but not required):

· Telecom

· Knowledge of and experience with test-driven development



Additional Requirements:

· Employee must be articulate and have good communication skills

· Must be able to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

· Independent problem solving and self direction
