Description: Job Title Software Developer 3 Location KING OF PRUSSIA Organization Name OTM Product Development Department Description Logistics Development is responsible for software development of the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) product line including broadening and deepening Oracles transportation management solution. In addition, Logistics Development is enabling a Logistics Hub solution - an integrated offering with Oracles existing ERP and supply chain applications to help customers of all industries address critical logistics and information requirements across global supply chains. Brief Description We are looking for a skilled software developer with 7+ years of development experience with a software development company. This developer will be utilizing their technical expertise to design, code and maintain J2EE applications. Utilizing their experience and development skills, this person will work with other team members to design and implement significant feature enhancements to the product. We are looking for a skilled software developer with 7+ years of development experience with a software development company. This developer will be utilizing their technical expertise to design, code and maintain J2EE applications. Duties: * Work with design leads to analyze requirements. * Design and develop J2EE graphical user interfaces for a complex logistics product. * Implement major components or subsystems using J2EE and object oriented skills. * Develop required technical documentation. * Participate in project and team meetings. * Work effectively with client support and implementation consultants to resolve application issues. * Resolve complex technical issues. Qualifications: * Thorough understanding of software design and development methodologies and practices. * 7+ years of application development experience in large code bases using J2EE and Weblogic. * Excellent communication skills. * Proficiency with JSP, Servlets, Java Script, XML and XSL. * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Operations Research or other related discipline. * Advanced degree in Computer Science, Operations Research or related discipline is a plus. * Logistics domain expertise is a plus. * Experience using a defect tracking system and working directly with developers to solve problems * A solid understanding of RDBMS Detailed Description As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing requirements. Job Requirements Duties and tasks are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
