Description: This is a full time job with a very large client in Chesterbrook, PA

They are looking for a mid level Cognos Developer

80k salary with a 10-12% bonus so total compensation is 88-89k



Purpose of the job: To develop, test and debug solutions using the approved platforms, languages and tools. The developer works closely with professional and managerial personnel to assure the software implemented satisfies stated requirements.



Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

„X Receive assignment and direction from manager.

„X Design, develop, test, support, maintain, and document Cognos cubes and reports.

„X Assist in problem analysis and resolve issues related to Cognos Decision Stream/PowerPlay/Impromptu/Access Manager and any other Cognos product implemented in the future.

„X Document job assignment via the IT/Systems Application Database, including time spent per assignment.

„X Document all applications or processes in a central repository defined by the management.

„X Work with other team members to develop, document, and implement processes correcting deficiencies, improving reliability or increasing efficiency.

„X Participate in planning and implementation of Cognos integration with other systems or applications.

„X Participate as an active member of the programming team as well as an active member of joint teams, as prescribed by projects and manager.

„X Submit status reports to the manager weekly on prescribed day.

„X Follow strict SOX guidelines and procedures.

„X Assist in requirements gathering when directed by manager.

„X Assist in writing scope documents, status reports and technical diagrams when directed by manager.

„X Perform other appropriate departmental duties as assigned.
