Gmane looks pretty interesting, I'll have to figure out how to go about
switching nntp servers quick and easy with slrn if I use it but no big
deal.

I actually just found a "regular" newsgroup for gentoo people
( ) that I apparently missed when I searched so I'll
probably just stay away from the mailing list for now (I've never been a
big fan of subscribing to mailing lists either).
