Oh, that I can help you with - I'm running portable Xananews through
proxy myself.

First, it HAS to be SOCKS proxy. You cannot run a newsreader through an
HHTP proxy. If your work proxy is HTTP, you'd have to tunnel Xananews
with a program like HHTPport.

If your work proxy is Socks, it's simple:

Get a program called Proxifier (portable edition) from here:
/file/x5yrwx

Then just configure your work's socks proxy in there to be used with
Xananews. That's it.

I tried thunderbird... I'd rather put up with Xana's crushes and bugs.
