I think you are right. There is a free program that tells *everything*
about every process running on a Windows machine, every handle, every dll,
stacks, all kinds of stuff. This is the tool someone would need to find out
what makes the jpg image work in windows with xnews and may be missing in
wine.

It is called Process Explorer. This is *way* over my head but I will post
it here in the event that anyone thinks they can figure out why jpg images
do not appear inline with xnews in wine but do show up in windows. We would
all worship you like a God if you can figure this out, whoever you are!
