Yeah, I really want Xnews ported to native Linux but hear when used with
wine that some stuff don't work. You cannot post binaries with it? I do
major posts with news post from my Linux machine on the CLI, don't like a
GUI for big posts. I use rar then par2 to make the archives and par2 files
right in Linux, then post with news post. I also use news post with cron to
post a twice weekly FAQ to one of my favorite Usenet groups.
I do like to post an occasional single binary or three right from Xnews
though. Not possible? You used regular wine, not the codeweaver one, and
then installed Xnews from a term in Xwindows like gnome or KDE? I love to
hang outside of Xwindows, not that the machine cannot do it, I have Beryl
installed with a decent nvidia card, but love to putty into the machine or
not even fire up xwindows when I don't have to. Not a big problem though,
how did you setup yours, Troy?
