Actually, a much better idea would be for him to get a basic
education. I don't know how old he is, but either going for a
GED, or taking a remedial reading course and/or really really
trying to graduate from high school, would be very wise courses
of action.

Yes, I know that most of the stuff taught in grade and high
school and collecge is just corporate propaganda: Bullshit
histories and science filtered through conrprate censors, etc.

But you really need to know how to read and write. And to enjoy
it.

And you may as well get used to the fact that a lot of people
really believe a lot of obvious falsehoods.

Like: 'America is a free country' and 'peace can be accomplished
with guns', and 'things go better with coke' and....

In life, it isn't people who are lying to your that are the
problem. It's people who really believe utter nonsense.

When almost _everyone_ around you believes utter nonsense, which
is the case in America, dealing with it is a constant challenge.

Avoiding reading and hearing some of it in school isn't going to
protect you from it. From its effects....

In fact, the ancient proverb "know thine enemies" is quite
relevant here.
